Project Background
HealthyME (S.A.) is a leading cloud-based Hospital Administration services provider that aims to streamline the management of healthcare facilities, enhancing operation efficiency and improving patient care through its platform Evenstar with cutting edge technology which will help to cater to the users by building an integrated suite of tools that streamline administrative tasks, enhance patient care, and boost overall operational efficiency.
Problem Overview
Patients struggle to manage their healthcare
Hospital processes and paperwork is complicated and difficult to keep a record of.
Old management systems cause delays and confusions for patients and doctors.
Problem Statement
Patients and their caregivers often struggle with managing healthcare because of traditional systems for booking appointments, accessing medical records, and handling bills.
This can lead to delays and confusion which adds to the burden of dealing with a disease.
How might we create an all-in-one platform that improves handling, communication, clarity and speed for healthcare management tasks?
Primary Research
For primary research i referred to the document provided by the client as well as conducted a few user interviews to understand what the patient or caregivers go through while dealing with health treatment.
Interview questions i asked them -
Please state your name, age, profession, illness (if patient / patients illness if caregiver)
Duration and intensity of illness
Describe your last visit to the doctor (starting from coming across medical issue to it being resolved)
How do you take care of your illness at home?
How do you track your vitals daily?
What is your process of booking an appointment at the hospital?
How do you organize your medical paperwork and prescriptions?
Rate how proficient you are with technology on a scale of 1 to 10
Have you tried using any applications to take care of your health?

Affinity Map
Based on the user interviews I sorted all the user problems into an affinity map and grouped them into 4 categories

User Persona
I narrowed my research down to two personas, one of a patient and one of a caregiver who can use the patient portal both being valid users of the portal, my main target audience was patients between the age group of late 40s to 70s and caregivers between the age group of 20s to 50s.
Empathy Maps
The empathy map of the two user personas shows what the users feel, think, say and do in situations where they have to use the patient portal or when they are dealing with someone who has a medical problem.
